Three months down

I've been the worse blogger lately. This month has been beyond insane!! But I thought it was finally time to sit down and give everyone an update on our lives.

Aaron and I had debated getting a dog for months. My family dog died this year and I missed having a dog around. And so when Aaron's parents went out of town for three weeks they let us borrow their dog Bogey. Which I loved. I missed having a dog around and I loved having a little buddy to follow me around.
Isn't he just adorable!!
And while they were gone they let us use their St. George house! It was so much fun to get away. We had yummy food. And celebrated our two month anniversary.

Bogey went with us on the trip! It was a blast!
I saw so many lizards! I really wanted to catch one. But no luck. And Aaron watched a ton of pawn stars. Overall we both had a blast.

Three Saturdays ago was probably one of the worse days of my entire life. My dad hit by a car. It was scary driving to the ER, having no idea what had happen other then knowing that my dad was seriously hurt. I'm so thankful to Aaron. That entire day he was my rock. Dad has some broken ribs, broken collarbone, some major bruising, and a conclusion the day of.
Dad has a long road to recovery but we are so thankful that he is going to be ok.

That night as we were driving home from our 9 hour hospital day. We were in a car accident. I don't know how Aaron stayed so calm. After a long day in the ER. I lost it. But he just stayed calm and was more worried about me then anything else. Later that night we went back to the ER because I was acting funny and hurting alot. And found out Aaron had a fracture on his lower vertebrae. Poor guy has been having back problems for weeks now!

A week later, on my way home from dance I was rear ended by a van. I'm ok. Had neck issues ever since the first accident but doing better now.
After two totaled cars and some injures. We are so thankful to our Heavenly Father. He has kept us safe and taken care of us. It's been a scary couple of weeks. But hopefully there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

Now to the happy news! We are parents!!  I have been begging Aaron to let me get a dog ever since bogey. We went to the animal shelter and found Jack. And both instantly fell in love.
With all the craziness happening he has given me something to focus on. He is so cute and smart. We are working very hard on potty training. (Not very many potty accidents this week!) and he knows a few tricks now (sit, stay, come, and shake). My Instagram has turned into a jack album. But he's just so adorable!

And of course my birthday was last week! Aaron took me to comic con! Which was a total blast! It was so much fun to have a nerd day. While my cute mother in law puppysat for us.
The costumes were amazing!!
The next day I spent the day with my family and some of my uncles and aunts got to meet jack and see my apartment.

An now we move on to today. My three month anniversary to my wonderful husband, my rock, my hero, the love of my forever.
I'm so thankful for him and can't imagine a world without him. I love him more every day.

My unusual hobby

I have a secret. It's more of an unusual hobby. My latest obsession. It's flying through the air.

Anyone who knows me personally knows that I am terrified of heights. Beyond terrified. For Pete sakes balloons freak me out.
Last summer I heard a quote: "do something everyday that terrifies you." And I took that quote to heart. And slowly became a bit of a thrill seeker. And so when i went with my church to a baseball game and met a girl who was basically in the circus. I knew that was my latest thrill.
My first aerial silks class I was beyond terrified. How the heck was I going to climb up a giant piece if fabric??
I almost gave up. Thinking that it was way to scary for me. That I had bitten off more then I could chew.
But while it was scaring the crap out of me I also wanted to get better. I wanted to be able to fly through the air with no fear.
So I kept going daily for hours on end. And waking up in the morning so sore I thought I wasn't going to be able to walk let alone go back to silks that night.
But finally I noticed myself getting stronger. One of my proudest accomplishments was being able to sit crossed leg and grabbing the bar above my head and doing a pull-up.
Sorry about the bad lighting. And no my butt is not on the ground.

Whenever I go to silks I feel empowered. I feel stronger then before. I feel like a better version of myself.
I've also met some of the best people that I know. Boys and girls just trying to make themselves better. And some of theses people have become my dear friends.
I am no way a pro and I still work everyday to get better. But I think back to the quote: do something everyday that terrifies you. And that has now become one of my biggest blessings.

First month of marriage!

We did it! We survived our first month of marriage. We had our fair share of trials this month but we were able to face them together.
We have learned so much about each other this month. Living under the same roof has been different but wonderful.
And so I thought it would be fun to list a few things that we have learned about each other this past month:

5 things I have learned about Aaron:
1. Guys use a lot more toilet paper then girls.
2. Aaron is a big midnight eater. Aaron works until midnight and when he comes home from work one of the first things he does is stick his head in the fridge.
3. He eats alot more pizza then I realized
4. He makes sure we say family prayer every single night. And always remembers who said it the night before.
5. It drives him crazy when the towels are wet.

5 things that Aaron has learned about me. (Yes I made him give me a list)
1. She is more messy then I realized.
2. She really likes to cuddle at night. But her feet are always freakishly cold.
3. She's  more of a nerd than she initially showed me.
4. she is very dedicated to the family

5. And she obsessed with decorticating

There you have it. We made it. And can't wait for the rest of forever.

My latest DYI project: summer wreath

I have been super busy. Trying to get our apartment together! Things are finally coming together. Most things are unpacked and we don't feel like we live out of a box anymore.
I finally unpacked the unthinkable, my crafting supplies and decided we needed to make our door a little more festive.
Summer wreath:
Supplies needed:
styrofoam wreath
String
Fake flowers
Glue gun
Glue sticks

This project is very simple but time consuming. I spent about two and a half hours wrapping the string tightly around the wreath and applying glue when needed. At the end I glued the sting down and clipped my flowers down so the backs were flat an glued where I thought best. And tried a look and glued to the back of the wreath.
Sorry there isn't many pictures. I didn't have my camera with me.

Here is the final product! I feel rather proud

I can wait to make more!

First date night: picnic in the living room

This week has been a tough one in our household. After we got back from Hawaii the real world hit pretty quickly. A friend of mine passed away in a boating accident  while we were in hawaii, surgery on  monday,  back to work on  tuesday and then some complications from surgery hit. And so I've been a tad down in the dumps since we got home.

But thankfully I have the sweetest man on the face of the planet. Aaron has taken such good care of me all week. And went with me to every doctors appointment this week. And by friday he knew I needed a pick me up. So we decided for our first real date night as a married couple that we would have a picnic in the apartment.

We ordered chinese food (a real treat for both of us) and moved all the furniture. And ate on the floor while watching my favorite movie: Land before time. (Which I bawled when Littefoot's mom died)

When I've had a super hard week. It is so wonderful to have such an amazing guy in my life. Married life is awesome.

The Honeymoon

We recently returned from our honeymoon and so I thought I would post post some of my favorite pictures from the trip!!

We went to Maui, Hawaii. Its so beautiful. Our hotel was right on the beach and so it was so much fun to wake up in the mornings and watch the ocean.

Another thing that I loved was the trees. They would grow the most beautiful flowers that would fall.

I just had to put a couple in my hair!!

We got to visit Bubba Gumps. Which was a blast. And the food was super yummy to boot.
At bubba gumps if you are liking your meal you put out the run forrest run sign

But if you need the waiter you put the stop forrest stop sign out. Love it!

                                                               He was a hungry Hubby!!

And I was a hungry wife!

                                                              Our yummy light up drinks!!

The food steamed up my camera!!

We also spent some time on the beach of course!!
                                                                    Aaron's pretty hat!

Getting ready to hit the beach

Lovin' the sand between my toes!
                                                                       Ocean!!

We also took a snorkel trip! But I haven't gotten the photos from the underwater camera developed yet. So stay tuned!
